The Nearly Wild rose is a charming, low-maintenance shrub rose celebrated for its abundant single blooms in vibrant medium pink with golden centers. Blooming continuously from late spring until frost, it brings the simple beauty and fragrance of wild roses to the modern garden — with far better disease resistance and reliability.
This compact, rounded shrub typically grows 2–3 feet tall and wide, making it perfect for borders, foundation plantings, or mass displays. Its glossy green foliage stays healthy all season long, and its continuous flowering habit keeps color in the landscape for months.
Hardy in zones 4–9, Nearly Wild thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. It’s cold-hardy, self-cleaning, and incredibly easy to grow. A timeless favorite for gardeners seeking natural charm, nonstop color, and carefree performance, Nearly Wild is as tough as it is beautiful.
Why Bare Root
The benefits of buying and planting bare root trees are extensive. Bare root trees are more cost effective and will typically reach their mature size quicker. They are easier to manage and plant due to not being established within a medium in a container. Bare root shrubs and trees will grow faster since they have 200% more root mass than that of trees purchased in a container or B&B. The plants are also not having to go through the adjustment period of acclimating to different soil conditions since they are not coming in a medium. For more information, please see CSU Extension Service’s “The Science of Planting Trees.”
Pickup for all Bare Root Plants will take place at The Shire at Old Ranch (3860 Old Ranch Rd., Colorado Springs, CO 80908) March 28th and 29th from 9:00am-5:00pm.
