Strawberry Sundae® Hydrangea 12in

The Strawberry Sundae® Hydrangea is a delightful compact variety that brings layers of color and charm to the summer garden. Its creamy white blooms emerge in midsummer, gradually blushing to soft pink and deepening to strawberry red as the season progresses — often showing all three colors at once for a truly eye-catching display.

This compact, upright shrub typically reaches 4–5 feet tall and 3–4 feet wide, making it perfect for smaller gardens, borders, or containers. Its strong stems keep the large flower clusters upright, while its lush green foliage adds fresh texture throughout the growing season.

Hardy in zones 3–8, Strawberry Sundae® thrives in full sun to partial shade with moist, well-drained soil. It’s low-maintenance, cold-hardy, and blooms reliably on new wood each year. A beautiful, easy-care hydrangea that adds sweet color and elegance from midsummer through fall.

Why Bare Root
The benefits of buying and planting bare root trees are extensive. Bare root trees are more cost effective and will typically reach their mature size quicker. They are easier to manage and plant due to not being established within a medium in a container. Bare root shrubs and trees will grow faster since they have 200% more root mass than that of trees purchased in a container or B&B. Pickup for all Bare Root Plants will take place at The Shire at Old Ranch (3860 Old Ranch Rd., Colorado Springs, CO 80908) March 28th and 29th from 9:00am-5:00pm.
