William Baffin Climbing Rose #1.5

The William Baffin rose is a legendary Canadian Explorer Series climber, prized for its exceptional hardiness, disease resistance, and profuse display of deep pink blooms. The semi-double flowers, each with a golden eye, appear in large clusters starting in early summer and continue repeating throughout the season, creating a wall of vivid color and charm.

This vigorous climbing shrub can reach 8–10 feet tall and 5–6 feet wide, making it ideal for trellises, fences, arbors, or large landscape backdrops. Its dark green foliage remains healthy and attractive even under challenging conditions, and it’s known for performing beautifully with minimal care.

Exceptionally hardy in zones 3–7, William Baffin thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. As an own-root rose, it’s winter-tough, self-cleaning, and long-lived, bouncing back easily from harsh winters. A true northern favorite, William Baffin combines rugged reliability with breathtaking color, making it one of the best cold-climate climbing roses available.

Why Bare Root
The benefits of buying and planting bare root trees are extensive. Bare root trees are more cost effective and will typically reach their mature size quicker. They are easier to manage and plant due to not being established within a medium in a container. Bare root shrubs and trees will grow faster since they have 200% more root mass than that of trees purchased in a container or B&B.
